Oh, I am sorry. That problem sucks.
I've actually had to debug this problem once or twice.
May I suggest that you uninstall every bit of nokia software
(including drivers) from your PC (go to add/remove programs and do it
from there), and then reinstall PC suite (download the file from
blindsea.com)
Do not plug your phone into the pc until PC suite is installed,
running, and actively searching for the phone.
PC suite doesn't play well with itself. I've had terrible luck just
upgrading PC suite without first scrubbing my machine of nokia
software, drivers, etc.
Finally, if you want it, you can also download and install the
nokia software updater, which is what will allow you to put new
firmware on your phones.
