I am still having a problem charging my original model A reader. I posted
the letter from Kim Stumpf, at the NH Association for the Blind, who had
tried to help me a few days ago. She had had it plugged in for a week and it
was only 5% charged. I had complained before of the problem getting a good
connection between the transformer and Reader. When I saw her Wednesday she
said she applied a lot of pressure squeezing the top and bottom of the
reader in the vicinity of the jack, and had gotten the charge up to 20%.
She said she had phoned the help line number five times, leaving voice mail,
and never heard back.
Obviously something is wrong withthe jack. What can I do to get this
repaired? Has my warranty run out, and if so what would be the service
charge? I am very disappointed that no one from KNFB Inc has responded to my
previous post. Thanks, Ed Meskys
