So, trade in is $1,100+$300 for Talx = $1,400

Would the speech package be on the sim card?

What do you mean by the amout of time, is that the kind of plan?

Can I put time on the phone and not belong to a plan?

What companies take Talx?

information concerning the cost of the KNFB reader Mobile and
associating software. Below is outlined a full listing of packages and

knfbReader Mobile  -- A Cost Chart


A)  PORTABLE READING MACHINE BY K-NFB READING TECHNOLOGY, INC.

K-NFB Reader Software by itself : $1595.00 - for people who already own
a supported phone such as the N82 and would like to install the software
themselves.

    $ 600      : Nokia N82,the only MACHINE able to use the reader
software

    $ 500      : KNFB discount until July 31, 2009, for trade-in of the
KNFB Reader Classic

          therefore  $1100 is the total for this portable reading
machine via upgrade path



B)  TALKING CELL PHONE: 

 

$ ??    PHONE PLAN ( buy a SIM card so the N82 works as a cell phone):

            (must be either AT&T or T-Mobile)   Price varies according
to amount of phone time bought.

$ 295   SCREEN READER SOFTWARE-- 
            (Makes telephone functions talk on the N82. Must buy either
Talks or Mobile Speak.)

C). TALKING GPS SYSTEM:  

$395  --  Wayfinder Access, a talking GPS system. 
                If purchased with Talks, $495 for both together.

THEREFORE:
$2195.00   -- Total for Reader Mobile, a portable talking reading
machine (reader software & the N82) 
$2495.00  -- Total for a talking cell phone with a reading machine
function (reader software, N82, screen reader,  Cost of phone plan not
known)
$2995.00   --  Grand Total for a talking cell phone with a reading
machine function and a talking GPS function. [add GPS software to above.
