[Reader-users] About SD card with the reader

Terry,
No, I don't think you need to format the CF card that came in your Reader.
 It's been a long time since I bought mine, but I think it was already
formatted when I got it, and yours probably is, too.
I only had to format mine because the old, obsolete, upgrade process
required it.  No longer necessary, thank Goodness.
