Hi Mike;
My error, It was degrees not percent.
Tried the field of view report.
If I can not identify an envelope I have been trying to read the
document inside. I had an item at least a paragraph long and it only
read one line. I had bottom and left and I think it was about 60%.
Does this mean I am to close? Can you believe they did not put the
field of view report in the command list.
Jim G.
If you read this, please make a note of this.

It isn't accuracy: it tells you how much of the camera aperture is
filled with the image.

AS I've said before, please, please, please read the manual.

  Mike;
  I have been using the report that tells me the percent accuracy. I am
  usually 0 to 5 percent. When I tried my first time at national I was
at
  4%.

  What does the "Field of View" Report tell you?

    Vicky, Tracy and others;
    Can anyone give me any advice on why I am having trouble getting the
    return addresses on mail? Could it have been the camera battery?
How
    do I tell if I am to close or to far? It is not even picking up
  writing
    on the right side of the envelope. I have tried memo and labels
mode.
    Sometimes changing helps a little, but not enough to get a full
return
    address.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Janice.
    Like Jim, I use the reader mostly for mail. My husband's sight has
    deteriorated significantly over the past couple years, and I am very
    happy
    to be able to help him out by sorting out the important stuff from
the
    junk. And I glance through the catalogs and stuff he used to just
  throw
    out. Fun! I also read the tiny local paper, which can be
  interesting,
    and is too big to fit on my scanner. And, last time we went away, I
  was
    able to read the room service menu! I've also read menus for
several
    local restaurants, and found things we didn't know they had. And
    avoided
    the horrible "What do you have? what do you want?" circle.
    I also went through the medicine cabinet, and threw out a bunch of
old
    stuff, and re-organized the rest, when I actually found out what it
  was,
    after sticking on some braille labels.
    Tracy
