Hi Everyone;
I am just writing to let you all know that we finally got my reader
recalibrated yesterday. With the help of Jim Gashal and playing phone
tag with a few people at the NFB, we finally got it done. One big
question I have is, does the reader have to be out of the case to
recalibrate? The manual says to take it out. The first lady I spoke to
said I did not have to remove it when I had already done so, so I would
be prepared for my helper to do the recalibration. I got the call right
after she left for the day. I called her back, yesterday and she
transfered me to a jentleman. He had my friend remove it from the case,
so what way is correct? I think her name was Alison. When we talked 2
days ago, she was going to suggest having it removed from the manual. I
looked at the manual and even figured out how to set the date and time
on my own.
I want to give a big thanks to KNFB for brailling the manual. I do a
lot better reading and trying than reading from the machine and having
to remember everything I read. Since Humanware from Canida did not do
it for the stream, I got it brailled myself. As people say, only an
individual knows what method is best for him or herself.

Now I can read!
