I just saw Jim's message about time changes. Maybe that was the cause.
I was out and still have some old e-mails to catch up on.

Jan and all:

We have found that the time change from Day-light back to standard and
from standard back to daylight can result in an unexpected power loss on
some Readers but not on others. I have personally experienced this, but
I know plenty of others who have not.

The theory is that the PDA powers itself on to change the time in
accordance with its programming but can't figure out how to power itself
off.
Therefore, you should be advised to be particularly attentive to the
power status during times when the time changes. This refers to the
time change that was formerly in effect before the recent energy bill
changed the dates slightly.

Thanks, J. G.

Well, mine was plugged in for several days, but still has to be
recalibrated, but things are in such an uproar at my office due to
re-modeling, that I haven't done it. My instructions are still packed
away, and I haven't found them. I was busy preparing for the
re-modeling, so didn't take the reader to work those days. I check it
each day and it was plugged in. Everything else on the strip is
working, so I'm not sure why this happened. I hope to get it
recalibrated next week when things calm down.
