Cindy and all:

Thanks for your comment about the recent price reduction.  This 
is an important action which represents the values of K-NFB 
Reading Technology, Inc.  The reduction is one result of placing 
K-NFB Reading Technology, Inc.  into a more direct relationship 
with resellers of the Reader.  Ray Kurzweil made the personal 
decision to pass the cost savings resulting from this change 
along to people who need to acquire the Reader.  This was 
enthusiastically supported by those of us involved in marketing 
and development.

Speaking of marketing, this is the first time I have posted a 
message to this list in my capacity as Vice President of 
Marketing for K-NFB Reading Technology, Inc., now reachable 
directly by email at: jim at knfbreader.com.  Please feel free to 
contact me directly at this address for any matter you wish to 
raise concerning the Reader.

Incidentally, the new retail price, effective on May 7, 2007, 
applies to Readers sold by the National Federation of the Blind 
as well as to readers sold by any other reseller.
