Hi Janet,
I just went to the kitchen and tried to take a picture of two cans. The
round can wasn't successful. It just said no text found. I don't know what
color the text is, and I don't know if there was printing or just a picture
on the part of the can I shot. But, I tried a flat can and the reader said,
very clearly, "Black Pepper".

Mine is new also, and I really like it. I also need to know whether or not
it is really possible to read labels on canned goods.
