Hello All:
We've got a client who recently received a KNFB Reader. It isn't
working properly. What happens is that when you turn his KNFB reader
on, the message "the system is in shooting mode" is heard, then it says
camera is off. When you press the button to turn the camera on, you
hear the sound from the camera that tells you the camera comes on, but
you do not hear the rising sound from the PDA indicating that it sees
the camera is on.
We looked at the connections and everything appears to be connected
fine. We took the client's camera out of his reader's pouch and we
connected it to our KNFB Reader PDA here in the office and our PDA
recognized the camera. We tried our camera with the client's PDA and
his PDA wouldn't recognize the camera. So, it appears something is
wrong with the connections between the client PDA and the camera.
Is there anything we can do to try fixing this for the client? If not,
where does the client send his KNFB reader to be repaired? The braille
number on the inside of his KNFB reader case is 2430, I think this is a
serial number.
Thanks,
