Well I seem to have these experiences at CSUN. Before I came to LA on
Monday I shipped an 80 cell Alva Braille display to the Marriott which was
needed at the booth in the exhibit hall. It was supposed to arrive on
Wednesday.
Last night, I confess I forgot about it, I suddenly remembered that I should
have had the package by now. I called the front desk and they told me that
I had no message and so nothing had been delivered for me. Remember this is
about a $10,000.00 item so I began to get a little nervous. Well, as it
happened I had the original receipt with me but no sighted person around to
read the tracking number. I brought out my trusty KNFB reader and snapped a
picture. All but one of the characters in the number were read and since I
have seen a few of these numbers in my day I tried an X in the place of the
unrecognized character. Guess what, I was right and the package had been
delivered on Wednesday and I had the person's name who signed for it.
Suddenly they found the box and all is as it should be. Go KNFBR.
