The NFB and KESI readers are exactly the same so far as functionality is
concerned. The only difference is that they are using different PDAs. The
KESI version does not have a compact flash card rather it has only an SD
card.

Both versions also now have two voices to choose from, Eloquence and Real
Speak. The latest software version is 3.4.8. HTH.

Subject: [Reader-users] What's different about the two versions of
thereader?

Hi reader users, glad to see all of us are pack together. What's different
about the KESI version of the reader in terms of features, and are some of
the early bugs worked out of it? Heard there were some issues of not
getting warnings when you recharged one of the batteries think it was the
Camera also how efficient is it reading books and article compared to the
NFB version?
Also on two different topics, has there been any talk of using Braille has
an option, and also integrating real speech synthesizer in to it the same
way Jaws 8 has a RealSpeak CD as part of the package for those who my not
like synthesized speech? Some seniors and some newly blind don't like
Eloquence or Dectalk speech.

I pledge to participate actively in the efforts of the national federation
of the blind to  achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind;
to support the policies and programs of the federation; and abide by it's
constitution.
