Kevin and all

The stand is now becoming available. We will be releasing it as a reader
accessory at the NFB convention in Atlanta. The stand was designed and
developed by the NFB.

The stand will be available for the NFB's independence Market and from
Reader dealers throughout the country. The price is $150.00.

I have used the prototype version of the stand for several weeks. It is
realy nice. I leave the reader in the stand and simply snap pictures when I
want to read something real quick. The base of the stand is the viewing
area for the reader, just a little wider and longer than an 8-1/2 by 11 inch
page. The Reader is looking down on the viewing area from about 15 inches
above. It takes a perfectly aligned picture every time. You really don't
have to be concerned about how well something is lined up to get a good
read.

Thanks, J. G.

Subject: [Reader-users] the reader stand

It's nice to be back on the list. I read about the stand being developed
for the knfb reader. This would be useful even if you have steady hands
and can take perfect pictures already, especially for many pieces of mail
or say a small book. Does anyone have more information about it beyond
that it exists?
Kevin
