[Reader-users] hello from a newbie

Hi Robert;
Can you describe how it reads a bill or bank statement. A lot of bills
have blocks for different numbers, how does it handle all the lines?
How does it read numbers, digit by digit or does it know to say $100 as
one hundred dollars?
If you scan in a bill, is there any way to find the amount owed? Do you
find it easier to transfer it to your M-power for reading of items like
bills. I am very interested in the device. Even if I can use it to get
rid of junk mail, it would be a great help.

Hello,
I have a reader, and I have had it for a little over a year now.
I have the current version with the ability to read money.
I work for a park, and there is always literature that I need to
read, so that I can give the appropriate information when people
call or come in to sign up for things.
I use it on a daily basis, scanning in materials so I know dates
programs and other information.
I also use it at home to read the mail, bank statements and
credit card statements.
It reads just about all of these items very well, unless there is
different color to the paper.
I understand that very soon I will not need to worry about the
colored background, so stay tuned as they say for uqdates as I am
sure they are working on new versions all the time.
As for waiting, I would not if you could purchase it, because it
does a very nice job on most documents and it is only going to
get better.
I hope this helps you,

Robert Stigile
