Hi joe, you transfer files to or from the reader using the storage card provided. Files must be txt or rtf to be compatible with the reader.

Subject: [Reader-users] Reading Files From Other sources?

Greetings everyone,
I just joined the list because I am very seriously considering the purchase of
the KNFB Reader.
I was wondering: if you transfer files to the SD card from a PC, can the reader
read them? I read in the manual that the files to be properly read must be
tagged. I thought I read somewhere that there is an Import feature so I wonder
if it is possible to take text files and have them formatted by the reader so
they can be read.
This would be handy when you have documents obtained online, etc. and you want
to take them on the road when you may not have your PC with you.

Thanks for any information you can offer.
Joe
