Please forgive me Jim and all but I am ready to take my name off of this list. I am getting totally frustrated with Mr. Vega's negative input. It seems as though he is belittling the KNFB reader and the development team. He could have private discussions with Jim or mike or who ever is developing the reader. This list I thought was for the reader users. I am happy to let Jim Gashel and his team develop the KNFB reader. They have done a magnificent job so far.

.Sirs;
.
.Permit me to clarify what improvements we would like to offer to the
.KNFB Reader. These improvement do not involve in any way reverse
.engineering or modification to the basic KNFB Reader software or
.hardware.
.
.We wish to offer a optional software patch that would permit the KNFB
.Reader's software to be started or stopped from within the Windows
.Mobile platform of the host PDA. This would provided added value to
.the consumer of the Reader by permitting him or her to access the
.functions of the PDA as well as those of the Reader.
.
.I would also server to create demand for the Reader by expanding it's
.marketing to the dyslexic population who would be more likely to
.invest in such a product if the functions of the PDA were accessible
.to them.
.
.Again let me restate that we have no desire to modify the underlying
.KNFB Reader software or to make any change it function, design. Nor
.do we wish to engage in reverse engineering the software or hardware.
.We only seek to expand on the product functionality in much the same
.way as various vendors of iPod add-on products do for that product.
.
.
.Something that you fail to realize Jim is no one wants to steel or
.damage anything, i told you we have the same goal. I believe the
.reason why the KNFB Technologies team is so court happy over this is
.because they want total control. I'm sorry it doesn't happen for
.Microsoft, it doesn't happen for apple and it won't happen for you.
.
.we are the consumer, we are the ones purchasing the units.
.
.if I buy a computer from dell, and it factory defaultly comes with
.only 256 megs of ram, and I go out and install 1gig of ram, yes I am
.opening up the computer, yes I know what I'm doing and yes I
.successfully install the ram and have a well running computer, has
.anything been violated.
.
.
.or damaged?
.
.by the way, all my developers and engineers no that I am totally
.willing to take the legal responsibility of this. they have nothing
.to fear.
.
.Thank you for your time.
