[Reader-users] the cam connects to my mac just fine

Wait a minute Terri and all -- I am just catching up on this list and I
think it is ridiculous to ban criticism of the reader on the list, as direct
criticism like this can be addressed and/or corrected more easily than it
could if done off list. Do you prefer backstabbing rather than direct
criticism?
Also, there is nothing wrong with learning as much as possible about
something you spend your good money on. I have been doing some
experimentation of my own, although I'm so excited about the capabilities of
the reader than I haven't spent the time to assess how hard it would be to
add functionality.
I'm interested in the specs and functionality of the various PDA's and I
think other reader users should be also.
The only thing I would recommend about the list is to stay civil -- if there
are criticisms, try to frame them as questions and if someone does write
something blatantly negative, as long as it isn't too counterproductive, let
it go.
Just a thought.
Happy reading!

Why are they allowing him to even be on the list since he is downing the
product?

Yes, Hope. If this person bought the KNFB Reader himself, I wouldn't
think
he'd be tearing it apart to try to make it do something it's not
intended to
do. So, I wonder if it was given to him as a scholarship winner or how
he
got one. Kind of sad to see someone tampering with a perfectly good
piece
of equipment, just because he wants something that it isn't.

Again, Why are you tampering with the KNFB reader?

.
.and shows up fine as a cannon camera.
.
.appearently the nfb didn't send us the entire pda pda package. we
.didn't get the original doc, the one we get is the nfb made doc, and
.the docking cable is missing and not included.
.
.at this point it looks like outsourcing the hard cable end of it will
.be have to be built manually by an electrician, I'm sure the correct
.pin layouts can be located, or maybe even purchasing the original doc/
.cable in best buy or something.
.
.there are two apps that will give us access to the pda.
.
.Missing Sync on the mac and active sync on the windows side.
.
.FYI.
