Gabe, this makes no sense at all.  The Reader was developed for a specific 
purpose.  If you don't want it for that purpose, then buy something else. 
Maybe you have just too much time on your hands and too much money.  If you 
can afford the time and money to tear your own Reader apart, fine.  But, I 
don't really think you're going to get help from the KNFB Reader tech 
people.
