Hi James:
The portion of the NFB convention program concerning the Reader was
presented by Ray Kurzweil. I am certain we will have it available from the
NFB, perhaps on the nfb.org website, shortly.
The major presentation I made was a recap of the past 33 years I have lead
the NFB's governmental affairs and strategic initiatives efforts. I did not
discuss the Reader during that presentation.
I did make several presentations about the Reader at special, small group,
workshops set up for that purpose. These were not recorded or captured in
any way. I doubt that I covered anything you don't already know. Ray's
presentation will be available, and it was clearly the most interesting
presentation about the Reader.
Incidentally, the just completed NFB convention was my last as Executive
Director for Strategic Initiatives for the NFB. Today, July 9, is my first
day fulltime as Vice President of Business Development for K-NFB Reading
Technology, Inc.
Thanks, J. G.

Subject: [Reader-users] Audio presentations from this years convention
Hi folks,
It would be good to listen to Jim's report on the progress of the Reader at
this years convention at some point. I'd be especially interested in Dr.
Kurzweil's thoughts on its development, where we are now and how it is to
hopefully evolve in the future.
The presentation demonstrating the objet recognition sounds facinating also.
Will these be available eventually?
Best
-James-
