[Reader-users] Slightly changing the topic, what about pricing

Here's some information I saved about the conpact flash cards.  It was sent 
by Jeff Witt, last year.

Compact flash card speeds are weird. They're rated as something or other X, 
such as 50X, a bit like CD-ROM speeds.  However, the Kurzweil folks did some
testnig and found that the actual performance doesn't always match the 
number listed.  Generally, you want a card that is rated for use with 
digital cameras,
to make the inter-shot interval shorter.  We use Kingston Elite Pro cards, 
which say "50x". I think those are a good card for the price. SanDisk 
generally
makes good cards, but again you'll want to attend to the rated speed, as 
each manufacturer makes multiple classes of cards.
