Hi Nancy. You can use either without recalibrating. The only time I know of
that you need to recalibrate is when your battery gets so discharged that
the computer loses its memory.

According to the User Guide, there are two ways to reset the PDA system -
one by pressing F4 then F3, and one by pressing the recessed round button.
Which of these is considered a "hard reset?" I ask because the Guide also
says that recalibration is required after a hard reset, and since that
sounds like a rather involved process and requires sighted assistance, I
want to avoid having to do it. So, if my system should need to be reset,
which is the safest one to use?
