Hi,

That noise you hear means that the unit has fully charged. The steady
high-pitched sound when the Reader is not connected and the silence
during recharged are documented. The high-pitched sound that rapidly
changes pitch up and down is not documented but means the unit is
charged. I have found this discovery helpful.

Question here.  Thursday I just received my second reader.  Needless to say, the 1st one died because of power cord issues.  Now for reader #2.  When it came out of the box I immediately plugged it up.  This morning just on a whim I checked the connector box for sounds.  It is now making a strange noise which I'm not sure how to describe.  It wasn't making any noise when I first plugged it up.  Am I remembering correctly that the correct situation should be silence?  I welcome any suggestions that do not involve me purchasing another power cord. Thanks in advance.
Smile! GOD loves you!
