[Reader-users] power cord

Following on Jim Gashel's comments remember that it is a simple matter to
turn on the machine while it is plugged in to see if it is fully charged.
There is no guarantee that future chargers will emit the same warbeling tone
when the reader is charged.

There is nothing like good old fashion checking the machine status and
checking the connector to insure that a machine is charged or charging.

Hi Tammy:

The sound you should here might be described as a variable, high pitched
worble. It is not a solid hi pitched tone as when the reader is not
connected, and it is not as loud. The worbling high pitched sound
occurs when the PDA is fully charged. Otherwise, when the PDA is not
fully charged, you will generally not hear a tone at all.

Hope this helps!

Question here. Thursday I just received my second reader. Needless to
say, the 1st one died because of power cord issues. Now for reader #2.
When it came out of the box I immediately plugged it up. This morning
just on a whim I checked the connector box for sounds. It is now making
a strange noise which I'm not sure how to describe. It wasn't making
any noise when I first plugged it up. Am I remembering correctly that
the correct situation should be silence? I welcome any suggestions that
do not involve me purchasing another power cord. Thanks in advance.
Smile! GOD loves you!
