[Reader-users] How to Reset

Hi Monica:
The method for reset depends on the PDA you have. If your Reader was
purchased directly from the NFB, the PDA you have is an Asus 730 W. If
you purchased your Reader from another dealer, the PDA you have is a
Loox. There is one method for a hard reset with the Loox and another
with the Asus. If you have the Asus, the PDA will have to be
recalibrated before the software is loaded again. If you have the Loox,
I don't believe recalibration is necessary. You should be able to load
the software when the system comes up after the hard reset.
If you have any additional questions concerning these procedures, I
suggest contacting the dealer who sold you the Reader or contacting the
tech support number you have in your documentation.
Thanks, J. G.

Subject: [Reader-users] How to Reset
Besides the button on the bottom, how do you perform a complete
reset on the PDA? After installing the upgrade to 3.1 (which went
perfectly), I check the batter status once or twice to acertain that it
was charging and left it there for a day or two. The next time we
picked it up it was totally dead. I think it's having charging problems
and I don't know if it's the PDA or the dock. I think I need to do a
complete reset as the last step before calling the vendor to ask for a
resolution under the warranty.
I don't think it will really help, but it certainly needs to be tried.
