[Reader-users] Hand Written Material

Has anyone had any success using the reader to read hand written text? Obviously not cursive, but more like regular or block print. When the sighted person who wrote the words for me looked through the viewfinder, she could see very plainly what was written. When the reader took the picture, it saw nothing - "No text found." We tried both blue and black ink on white paper with the same results. Any suggestions?
