Hello:

In the USA and in most of the world rehab is interested only in 
employment outcomes.  When I wanted the State of Florida to 
assist me in the purchase of my unit these were my reasons:

1	to review charts and records when away from a flatbed 
scanner and scan and read software;
2	to read important employee notices from the bulletin board;
3	to be able to read handouts such as agendas in meetings;
4	to avoid copying the blank sides of documents and having to 
do the job a second time; and
5	locating documents when away from my desk.

Tell her that you will be a more efficient and productive worker 
with the unit but without it your ability to perform your job 
duties will be limited.

Remember that your blind services worker is working for you and 
has a written plan.  Make that plan work for you too!   best of
