[Reader-users] question about the reader

Louana, in addition to what you are hearing from others, I find the reader
useful in many ways. Just this past week, my husband and I bought a washer
and dryer for our daughter. She was to have it delivered at the end of this
week. When reviewing the receipt with the Reader, I discovered that the
address for delivery was incorrect. I called her. She called the company.
They were able to change it in their computer and not have a problem. Our
live reader wouldn't have come until after the delivery would have happened.
We also just recently got a notice of an appointment for my husband which
needs to be changed. Again, we found out about that in a timely manner
because of the Reader.
We have made it to school and church events we might otherwise either have
missed or had to plan for in a hurry. We have read things in manuals that
have helped us to know how to use things without having to wait for a live
reader.
I have used the Reader to do voice notes of the people where I work as an
alternative to the pictorial directory they use to get to know one another.
I have sometimes read things with it and sent text files to people who need
certain information.
I can read nutrition facts and other information on many packages.
In hotels and other public places, there is much that can be read. One
thing my husband and I recently read were directions for using a prefab or
whatever you'd call it log in a fireplace in a hotel.
There are many more things, but this is what I think of right off.
