 In order to read currency, you need to be sure you have the reading
mode set to U. S. currency.  You can verify the current reading mode by
pressing F 1 twice.  If you are getting "not matched" results, you need
to take the picture from further away, about 18 inches or more.  There
is a tendency to hold the reader too close to the currency since bills
are small.  Most people hold the Reader closer when capturing a business
card than when capturing an 8 and

like a business card and you will get better results.  



In fact, the "upgrade doc" specifically says to flatten out the bill and
have it 12 to 18 inches from the camera
