[Reader-users] Comparison of Ver 3.4.5 to 3.4.7

Hi Sid:
You can certainly continue to use the Reader with the beta version you
are running. However, there may be one particular complication for you
when you upgrade from your current beta to the next final release,
version 3.4.8. We changed the saving function so currency images can't
be saved in the final release. They probably can be saved in your
version of the 3.4 beta. The complication is that your Reader may lock
up when you try to perform certain functions immediately after you have
upgraded from the beta to the final. The correction is to take an image
and save it immediately after loading the final release. This will save
the new settings, and the Reader will work just fine.
The dealer who provided you with the beta of version 3.4 should know
this and explain it to anyone else who has received that pre-release
version.

Having returned the Sd Card with 3.1.5, I can not go back and either use
3.4.5 until the release of 3.4.8 or nothing.
Thanks, Sid Ordway

Jim,
The fix to the long-down problem fix will be version 3.4.8. I don't
want to create confusion, but this is an additional factor to consider.

Hi Sid:
The changes from version 3.4.5 to 3.4.7 are only operational/technical.
However, they are absolutely essential! If you have version 3.4.5 beta,
you should not continue to operate the reader with that version.
Thanks, J. G.

Are there many changes from the Beta version 3.4.5 to the released
version 3.4.7?
Thanks, Sid Ordway

Cindy and Chad,
Thanks for responding. One quick question. From the time you hit the
button to take a "picture" of the document, how long does it take to
start reading it?
