Dear Members of the Group,
At the Washington Seminar, on Monday evening,January 29, 2007, a new upgrade
was demonstrated.
This upgrade, as was announced, will be going out to all owners of the K-NFB
readers.
This new upgrade lets the Reader identify paper money accurately and on the
spot.
The unit correctly identified the amount of the bills and even gave their
orientation as to front or back of the bills and said if the bills were on
their end or on their top or bottom.
It even worked with bills that were folded, crumpled and wadded up.
Now our units are even more versatile than before and it is because we, the
blind, asked for it.
We realize that dealing with money is not a big problem for the blind, but
this will just make it easier and another good reason to own one.
