HI GUY, Well the battery should work. Think you should get a hold   of ether 
Kurzweil or NFB which ever one it came from they should send you another 
battery. Do you know if it is a type A OR type B reader... The buttons on 
the type A run across the PDA and the type B the buttons go up and down... 
The type A comes from NFB and type B comes from Kurzweil...

Hi everyone,
I just received my new reader a week ago and love it.
I have a camera battery that won't take a charge.  The battery that came 
installed will take a charge but the extra battery that came with the reader 
will not.  Am I missing a tab I have to remove to expose the contacts?  If 
not how should I get another battery?  I bought the unit through an adaptive 
products company.  The unit was drop shipped to the company and they in turn 
shipped it to me.
