Hey there Roy,
Sure thing, you may feel free to phone me anytime. I'm not sure that I will 
always have the answers that you're looking for, but I'll do my best to find 
the people who can. As for getting a proper shot of the print text that 
you're trying to read, I'd go ahead and follow Mr. Gashel's directions below 
and see what kind of results you come up with. The reader is a device which 
requires a bit of getting used to, but once you are used to it, the reader 
becomes a powerful device, which will open new doors to you. In terms of the 
latest update, you should be running on version 3.8.1.
