[Reader-users] Announcing version 3.8.1

I also suggested something like this to Jim -- why can't the software be 
loaded from the flash card instead of the sd? His answer was that that was 
the way it was--2 cards, one for firmware and one to store documents.
Depending on how large your sd card is, wouldn't it be possible to rename 
the 2577 folder to something else and then copy the new software to the SD?
Or better, put 2577 for version 3.8.0 on your desktop and zip it, then unzip 
the 3.8.1 files and copy then to the sd.  That way you wouldn't lose the old 
firmware in case you wanted to roll back.

I am so anxious to get the new software copied to the reader--I am wondering 
why the reader didn't come with a memory reader for the sd as I have no way 
to copy from my desktop to the sd.
What are other people using to do this? I only have an adaptor for compact 
flash memory, not for the sd.

I have 3.8.1 but I wonder in the future when a new release comes out if I
can ust delete, say the 3.8.1 on my sd card and load the new one there.  I
hate to keep getting separate cards every time there is an upgrade.

Maybe in the future, there could be a syncing option which would allow you
to plug in and just get it directly into the reader.
