Hi, Laura.

I had the same problem with the camera not working, and what fixed the 
problem for me is that there's a slider switch on the side of the camera 
that's facing up.  That slider switch has to be in the right position for 
the camera to work properly, and right now, I forget whether that's facing 
towards you or away from you, but I'm sure someone else on the list can 
provide some clearer information.  Anyway, you can experiment around with 
the slider switch and the little USB connector, and see if that works.
