David;
Always put your document on a flat surface. You want the camera to be
able to take a distinct picture and if it is in your lap, it will not be
flat and some of the print might be unclear. Since I am short and have
some muscular problems along with epelepsi, I find it easier tostand up
while taking my picture. This way I can raise the camera without any
strain on my arms. Also, after you snap the picture, you can place it
on the table for reading purposes. You do not have to keep it up in the
air. This is good for those who can not hold things for long. My first
few envelopes were not fully successful, because, as Jim G. sayd, I was
to close and it only read part of the return and my address. I need a
lot of practice too. Always put your reader in shooting mode before
taking a picture. It is easy to forget after changing a setting. That
was my first big problem, but after I got some speakers I solved the
problem myself. There is a lot to learn in this ausom device.

Hello,
My method for getting good pictures is to set the reader down on
the page in the middle.
Then raise it up about 16 inches, and the first few days, while
you are getting used to it, use the field of view report, and
when you have all edges visible, take the picture.
After awhile, you will get a good feel for where to hold the
reader, and you will become a pro.
Good luck,

Robert Stigile
