Congratulations Lisa;
I bought on too! I am using my headset from my m-power for the reader.
I also got a set of small speakers for home or demo use and a stand.
Mainly using it for identifying mail. I have not had much practice
time, yet.

Hi everyone,

I am a new user of the KNFB Reader. I purchased the unit at this year's
NFB
convention in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a great technology.
I wanted to let everyone know I did not have any difficulty downloading
the
latest firmware once I selected the appropriate version of the
configuration
I had.

Now is the challenge to copy the content to a memory card to install
software.

High Dean, Denise, and all:

Please use the link just above my signature to go directly to the 3.8.1
download page. Once you get to that page, you will need to check the
radio
button that indicates which Reader style you have. Most people have the
B
version, which is the first one listed. People who purchased Readers
from
the NFB have the A version, which is listed right below the radio button
for
the B version. If you don't check one of these radio buttons, you won't
be
able to download any software.

Please write me back if you are still having difficulty. Here is the
link
to the download page:

Thanks, J. G.

I'm following your procedure and am, like Denise, unable to access the
upgrade.

Good for you, Alco, you proud non-tekkie you!
