Hello Tracy.
I have taken the Reader on a plane wrapped securely in something. A smaller
bag will do just fine as well. I prefer the carrying case it comes with
however because I feel it offers the greatest protection to the Reader.
Remember that the carrying case has a long enough strap which can be looped
around your shoulder or neck.
