[Reader-users] Reading books with the KNFB reader

Hi Kevin:
The Reader will provide you with a "warning, camera battery is low,"
message. This does not provide a percentage, but it does give frequent
warnings when the camera battery is low enough that the signal would be
appearing on the camera battery screen.
This is an instance where we are doing absolutely the best we can, given
the limitations of the camera and its ability to communicate with the
Reader software. I really haven't found that it is too much of a
problem to keep track of approximately how many pictures I have taken
within a particular sequence of time. The warning from the camera comes
soon enough that you can normally count on being able to take several
pictures before you need to change batteries. We also supply an extra
battery so it can be changed immediately without interruption for
recharging. These are the restrictions we are operating under with the
current technology.

I believe we do have a low battery alert starting at 30 percent of full
charge.
