[Reader-users] Reading books with the KNFB reader

Hi Kevin and all:
We are definitely working on batch processing. However, I want to
correct your explanation of what you currently need to do.
Specifically, it is not necessary or desireable to cancel the processing
before you take the next picture. I believe the best procedure is to
wait until the processing is complete and then just take the next
picture in the series. You don't have to listen to the entire document
before taking the picture. All you need to do is to hear the first few
lines. The reader begins to speak the document before all of the
processing is done, so it might occasionally say "processing," the first
time you attempt to snap the picture. This is not a problem. All you
need to do is to continue to press down arrow until the reader responds:
"taking picture." This will interrupt the reading and you will then
here the processing beeps for the next picture to process.
I am not trying to say that this will always be the case, but that is
the way it currently works with the present version of the software. As
I say, we are definitely working on a batch solution as well.

the batch is a must. Now I have to tell it to save images and then when
it begins to process them cansel it and then take the next picture. If
it could save the pic and then have a timer x seconds later take the
next shot, that would be wonderful.
Also, there's no way to select more than one image for processing at a
time from the file mode.
Might be nice if there was a status in the settings some where that kept
track of how many shots you've taken. Maybe the user could decide if it
reset when you turn it on or not. This could be used to keep track of
how many shots you've taken on a current camera battery. -- Would like a
low battery alert on the reader itself.
