[Reader-users] new KNFB reader user poses questions

Hi Kim:

The location of the reset button is shown in the quick start
instructions, the key command summary, and the users guide. It is on
the power end of the reader. On that end you will find a finger-sized
whole. If you press a finger into that whole you will notice that you
are pressing a spring-loaded button. All you need is a very short press
for the reset sequence to begin. Just press and let up, then wait for a
minute or more, and the reader will begin to talk again to tell you it
is restarting.

You do not need to load the software again after this kind of a soft
reset.

Is the "reset" button located on the side of the machine? Also, after
performing a reset, is it necessary to reinstall all the software and to
receive sighted assistance (I believe this was mentioned in the manual?)

Kimberly
