[Reader-users] Straight Talk About Vision Loss With Dr. Z, KNFB Reader

Good evening again everyone,
    The NFB Jernigan Institute has really done a great job with KNFB Reader
Videos; more than I asked for. I suggested a demonstration video and got two
and some for the price of one. These videos are great resources to share
with folks considering a purchase of the KNFB Reader. I just finished
listening to what I believe is an inaugural issue of a new video series
produced by the NFB Jernigan Institute called Straight Talk About Vision
Loss with Dr. Z. This show discussed the Kurzweil NFB Reader. It featured
the husband and wife team of James Gashel, and Betsy Zabarousky. They
discuss the development of the reader and how they along with other blind
individuals have benefited from this technology. The video also includes a
demonstration of the KNFB Reader using the point and shoot method. The other
video demonstration I posted about earlier shows the field of view method of
lining up print pages for conversion to speech. Both videos can be viewed or

     The Straight Talk About Vision Loss Series sounds like it will be a
wonderful resource when it gets going and more shows are produced. Again
