[Reader-users] how do you upgrade the Reader?

Good evening everyone,

This is certainly a vast improvement to what RFB&D &D requires if you
purchase a digital talking book player from a vendor other than them. It
certainly beats having to send your $1000.00 Plextalk to them to have the
copy protection key installed and having to worry if the player will make
the round trip in one peace. At least the NFB and Kurzweil got this one
right even if not to everyone's satisfaction. However I would welcome being
able to download the firmware upgrade directly in to the reader in the
future. The current procedure certainly beats sending a $3000.00+ device off
to Abba-Babba and the inconvenience caused by such procedures. Keep up the
good work Kurzweil and NFB.

Hello Gary. Do you send a postage-paid envelope to facilitate returning of
the card?
This is better than I originally thought, but it still seems a bit
out-of-date as far as upgrading products is concerned.
