Subject: Hearing for Digital Talking Book Program--April 30, 2008
Hello: The Senate Subcommittee on Legislative Branch Appropriations will be
having a hearing next Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. in room 138 of
the Dirksen Senate Office Building. Full funding for the Digital Talking
Book Program of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically
Handicapped of the Library of Congress will be discussed.
We would like to have a strong Federationist presence at the hearing and are
enlisting your help to recruit attendees. It is important that we
demonstrate through our presence that this program is critical for the blind
of the nation.
Please note that there is a possibility that the time of the hearing may
change;
Thanks in advance,
Ann-Marie Laney, Director
