Minutes 10-09-2022

Meeting was called to order by President LuAnn Bowers at 73.07 PM. Minutes were Approved as sent.

Treasurer's report: as of 9-1-22 the balance was %s1,476.85. There's about %s200 in savings. Motion was made to approve the treasurer's report by Shane and seconded by Debbie Baker.   

Fundraising: Deanna will re-send information about the honey baked sale to the Ohio Talk list. All but 20 Mallie's bars have been sold. For the statae convention chair massages have been approved as a fund raiser, so LuAnn and Deanna will do those. We will sell World's Finest chocolates instead of the Mallie's chocolates since they are %s1 cheaper and much easier to get. Marianne got 5 assorted boxes and 1 box of caramel bars. Each box is %s60. We still don't have an answer as to whether we can sell candy bars at the hotel. 

Under old business: There was some discussion about whether to have the business meeting as well as the speaker at the Oagdu meeting during the state convention. We decided to have the election of officers quickly and then have the speaker. If other business needs to be handled we can do that on the 13th of November which is our reqular monthly meeting time. Deanna made a motion and Marianne seconded it that we do elections and speaker at the convention and finish any left over business during the regular meeting: and that we send out an email reminder before hand 
strongly encouraging paid members to attend both the convention meeting and the monthly meeting calls. 

 Marianne moved and Debbie seconded that we give the T-touch presenter %s150 as an honorarium. The motion carried. 

A motion was made by Debbie Baker and Deanna seconded that we donate %s125 to the state affiliate. Motion Carried. 
Paula Jordan made a motion and Asia seconded that we offer %s50 per paid member up to %s650 to help defray convention costs. Members must make an appearance in order to receive their financial assistance. 
Paula will donate a %s25 chewy gift card as a door prize for the OAGDU meeting.   Deanna will make up a beauty gift basket for the silent auction: and Marianne is donating an OSU hat and scarf and a %s25 starbucks gift card for general session door prizes.

There was no further business. The meeting was adjourned at 8 PMDDRespectfully submitted,
