[NFBWATlk] Inaccessible Washer and Dryer: How to Deal with It

If you’re also willing or rather, your landlord is willing to replace it, Maytag has a dryer with knobs also and it’s considerably less than the speed queens. I just got one at a local appliance store and it might take a while for deliveries. They said they’re kind of slow on delivering getting any other deliveries.

Not the top of the line model as it has a touchscreen, but I have the washer that is called the classic. Most of the settings are entered by using very large knobs that click and twist and beep, and I have the settings memorized. There are two rectangular buttons that respond to touch that allow you to set the washer for deep water and the other one is the start and stop button, but as long as the feature is enabled, they have certain beeps when they are on or off and work great. recently, I accidentally got the beeping function, turned off by holding down too long on one of the buttons, which apparently turn that feature off for people that do not want it, but the owners manual has clear instructions for how to turn this feature back on again and I won’t be making that mistake in the future. I do not have the speed queen dryer, but I believe they have similar knobs that are very easy to feel. These machines are also highly rated and several repair men have said that they almost never need any sort of maintenance or repair and have a lifetime of over 20 years. They are much superior to other brands for quality.
