Hi, Reg and Humberto,

Jeff Abrams crafted a good message to send out on his newsletter if you
care to share this as well with your listservs or want to send this out
in another week or so to space things out.

Thank you!

Danielle

As we learn more about the path being taken by both federal and state
administrations, there is ample concern over funding cuts to programs
like museums and libraries. For the Washington Talking Book and Braille
Library, the impact of removing state and federal funding from its
budget would be catastrophic, resulting in the loss of over half its
staff. This devastating cutback would slow down circulation of books,
end readers’ advisory support, including technical issues with BARD or
equipment, decimate local production of new books in audio and braille
formats, and cut even deeper on staff support for operating the WTBBL
program and supporting the core services for current and future patrons.

We need to quickly take action to support and maybe even save WTBBL.
