Greetings Federation family!
I apologize for the delayed announcement of this month Members At Large chapter meeting details. I have been experiencing a small bit of technical difficulties. Not to worry, they should be all good soon. That being said, let’s get to the real reason you have opened this email.

It is time once again for us to gather on Zoom for the Members At Large chapter meeting that occurs the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m.. You will find the zoom details below. So  much has been happening in our state recently. As you all know, our affiliate has been working hard to help support the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library that we all know and love.

This brings to mind opportunities to come together and share about this amazing service and what it has meant to all of us. We can also hear from the people who visited the state capital to advocate for the funding to keep the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library alive and well.

Many of us have utilized the libraries resources to receive books in braille and audio format directly to our mailboxes. Others listen to those books via a player the library provided. Of course, there’s also the option to use the bard app on the device of our choosing. Not to mention, anytime we have ever had to call the library, we have been met with kind and confident staff ready and eager to help us. The library services don’t stop there though. Patrons can also receive newsletters directly to their email inbox, participate in book clubs And visit the library for all of the in person resources and services they offer.

For many people, the library is one of the first resources they receive when they become blind. All of the things the library offers to our community our priceless. Everything they do is so valuable and so important. Please join the Members At Large chapter this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to share in an open discourse declaring our love for the Washington tTalking Book and Braille Library.
