but, good afternoon everyone, I just wishing to drop a brief note to the
list. Thanking past Federation mentors in Washington state. Meaning
people like Gary, Ben, and Noll and others.

As some of you may know, at our recent national convention I was elected
president of the national Federation of the blind DeafBlind division.
One would think that such a small division there wouldn't be a whole lot
of work terms of being president. So far, three weeks in, know that is
hardly true. I am of course very much aware that you don't run for a
leadership position in the National Federation of the Blind unless you
are prepared to do the work whatever it is. After doing a lot of
thinking, I wanted to take a moment to thank the above mentioned people
and those who are forgotten to mention in this email or the mentoring
over the years. While they are still very much with us. The last year
unfortunately has taught me thank the people who have mentors you
whether still with us. Because of course you have to think of those who
aren't with us. In other words better to think the people while they're
still very much living. I'm not saying this to be dark or morbid but to
make sure that I give thanks word is do.

Anyone on the list has suggestions on how the national deaf blind
division can help deaf blind Washingtonians, please feel free to drop me
a line. I do read everything that gets posted to this list when I can, I
know that I don't post very much if all. But I do read list email when I
have the time. So it is always good to read email from the state that I
essentially grew up in. Here's hoping that everyone Sunday is going
while? Then here's hoping that you guys have a great week. I look
forward to seeing the responses to this email. Here's hoping that the
dictation turned out well enough that it can be read without too much
trouble. If there's something that he didn't understand please feel free
to write me.

Sincerely Maurice A. Mines

Pres. National Federation of the Blind DeafBlind division.
