Thank you so much, Marci, for letting us know. I have also met Lloyd at conventions, and know he will be missed. I will especially miss seeing his name all over the e-mail lists.

Judy

I am very sorry to share that Lloyd Rasmussen, a long-time Federationist, died this morning. I met Lloyd and his wife Judy at my first national convention. I learned that Lloyd had written many great Federation songs. He also worked for years as an engineer at the Library of Congress. He was a very kind man and will be missed.

I am also mourning the loss of Doris Willoughby. We have lost several people lately who contributed so much to the NFB and to the lives of all blind adults and children.

There will be a celebration of life for Doris this Saturday, September 18, inDenver and on zoom. If you would like to attend you can email Ramona Wallhof at walhoframona at gmail.com and she will send you the details.

There will be a memorial service for Lloyd Rasmussen at a later date. I will share details when I have them.

I treasure my relationships with members of the Federation, veterans and newcomers. Our Longtime members carry much knowledge of our history and their deep love of our organization. Let us celebrate the lives of Lloyd, Doris, Don Morris and all of our veteran members who are still with us.

Marci
