Accessible Voting Available October 20

WHAT: Accessible Voting Center

WHO: King County Voters needing Accessible Voting Machines

WHEN: Saturday, October 20

WHERE: City University of Seattle, 521 Wall St., Seattle, Vancouver room

The National Federation of the blind Greater Seattle Chapter, King County Elections and City
University of Seattle are partnering to make accessible voting available on Saturday, October 20 from Noon to 3:00 pm at City University. The polling place will be located in the Vancouver room on the first floor at CityU. While this Accessible Voting Center is available to any registered King County voter, it is open so that voters who are blind or have other disabilities and who need an Accessible Voting Unit in order to vote secretly and independently have a place to vote.

King County Elections will be staffing this location and can show voters who might not be familiar with the units how to use them. Each unit has screen reading (with headphones), print enlarging, contact altering and font changing capabilities. There is also a sip-and-puff attachment for those who need it.

THIS IS THE ONLY ACCESSIBLE VOTING CENTER OPEN DURING WEEKEND HOURS.

PLEASE SHARE THIS NOTICE THROUGHOUT YOUR ORGANIZATION AND WITH ANYONE ELSE.
